Worked closely with Executive Director Emily Pardo, President Deborah Porter and Tech Board member Nicholas Negroponte to develop the visual identity, illustrative presence and full-featured web site for the inaugural Boston Book Festival. Their requirements were a site that looks clean and modern, and presents the Book Festival in a way that highlights its tech-savvy nature.

In addition to building the web site, creative director Mike Swartz created a series of 20 bookmark illustrations to promote the festival and add artistic flair to the web site. The logo was re-evaluated and revamped, and a visual identity system was devised to use on business cards, t-shirts and collateral.

The site is constructed with Expression Engine, allowing Book Festival staff to easily modify pages, update the schedule and create content.
